Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides meal reimbursement to child care programs that meet certain eligibility criteria and provide nutritious foods that contribute to the healthy growth and development of children. All students enrolled in the MCIU Head Start program receive a breakfast and lunch each program day through this program. Students enrolled in the MCIU Pre-K Counts program receive a breakfast, lunch, and snack each program day with many of the meals being reimbursed through this program.
