Workshop Withdrawal Procedures
IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE REGISTERING
Once registered for a workshop, event or course, full participation is expected. Maximum benefit to the participant can only be obtained when the sessions(s) are attended in full. In addition, when participants cancel at the last moment or choose not to attend it impacts other professionals, presenters, IU staff and related costs that can not be recouped.
Participants are responsible for keeping his/her personal profile and employment information current in The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit’s online registration system or your district’s MyLearningPlan record. Updated profile data ensures that information relevant to workshops such as confirmations, updates, and cancellations reach all of the intended recipients.
Once registered participants MUST withdraw from a workshop or event by using the “DROP” feature on the MCIU Online Registration Center. Please take note of the TIMELINE FOR WITHDRAWALS:
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Cancellation: 100% Refund of Registration Fee: Workshop and events are most often canceled two weeks prior to start due to insufficient enrollment. MCIU reserves the right to cancel any and all workshops or events due to insufficient enrollment. Notification of workshop or event cancellations will be made by email. Also, if any workshop or event course times, dates, locations and fees change due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified by email.
- Registrant withdrawals 14 calendar days or more prior to first day of workshop or event. 100% Refund of Registration Fee
- Registrant withdrawals 7 to 13 calendar days prior to the first day of workshop or event. 50% Refund of Registration Fee
- Registrant withdrawals 6 calendar days or less prior to the first day of workshop or event or is a “no show.” 0% Refund
The course administrator will automatically be notified by email when a participant withdrawals from a workshop or event. Any necessary charges, as noted in the timelines above, will be processed as soon as noted in the timeline for above.
Registrants experiencing difficulty with the “DROP” feature should immediately email the Lois Winton at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance in order to comply with the withdrawal policy.
