The Montgomery County Public Library of Norristown provides a mobile library service, the Books Go Round program. This program uses the Bookmobile which is a van that is fully stocked with a large selection of age appropriate books. Each classroom is scheduled a time to visit the Bookmobile. Children are allowed to visit the Bookmobile, check out books from the Bookmobile, and keep those books for reading in the classroom. Upon the next visit, the child must return their previously checked out selections in order to check out new ones.

This program provides the students with the opportunity to learn how a library service works, learn the responsibilities associated with caring for a book, and have access to a wide variety of reading materials. Teachers are responsible for ensuring the books are returned in good condition, and that the classroom is prepared to visit the Bookmobile at the scheduled times.
