The MCIU’s Office of Business Services provides the Trust Management Services for the Southeastern PA Schools Trust (SEPaST). SEPaST is a consortium of seventeen (17) school entities in southeastern PA that work together to pool resources for the purpose of self-insuring medical, prescription drug, and other employee benefits.

The Office of Business Services provides responsive and supportive cooperative purchasing activities for the public schools in Montgomery County, PA. Many of the bid opportunities coordinated by the MCIU’s Joint Purchasing Consortium have permissible ‘piggybacking’ language for other public entities, as well.
MCIU provides pupil transportation services on behalf of local education agencies. These services include, but are not limited to, specialized transportation services for students with disabilities, after school program transportation, and classroom field trip transportation.
MCIU supports school nutrition through a variety of USDA food programs, including free meals during the school year and summer. Services range from consultation to full program implementation. All MCIU students receive free meals through CEP.
