On Wednesday, August 28, MCIU proudly unveiled the Discovery Center, our new state-of-the-art educational facility located in Lansdale, PA. This new center will host our early childhood programming including Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and Early Intervention, while also offering career development opportunities for school-age students with diverse needs.
The Discovery Center emphasizes student-centered learning through seamlessly integrated technology, flexible educational spaces, and a holistic approach to development, with a focus on fostering engagement and inspiring creativity in our students.
The Discovery Center involved years of meticulous planning and development. This extensive process required significant collaborative efforts across all MCIU offices.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate how this new educational environment will enhance the learning experience for our students, as we strive to equip them for the future and help them reach their full potential. “It is rewarding to be part of creating safe spaces where kids are able to come and learn,” said Alfred E. Howard, Director of Facilities and Operations at MCIU. “Seeing them walk into a new building that is bright and airy with modern and innovative features and knowing that we helped to make their school experience a happy one, especially for underserved populations, is amazing.”
We’re incredibly proud of the dedicated team at MCIU for making this project a reality. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to bringing the Discovery Center to life!
