Last week I visited our corporate offices in Audubon, PA. I was able to meet one of our new partners helping us recruit and employ our U.S. manufacturing facility with 75% of our workforce with disabilities.  We are excited about this partnership with Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. We created a win-win partnership for their students with Autism to learn on-the-job skills to see if this is work they would like to pursue when they graduate.

I was able to meet each of the 10 new students who are learning how to sew, pack and other job training skills. Talking with each student and their job coach Lyl (Lylian Melendez), gave me even more drive to create employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Today we now have an inclusive workforce of individuals with vision loss, hearing loss, Autism, and Down Syndrome.

I also want to recognize all the job coaches in the U.S. who work to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities. After talking to Lyl, our job coach for our company; I realized she is a true angel who has dedicated her career to teaching and creating job opportunities for her students with disabilities. Thank you Lyl for helping us make our dream come true!
