Montco Career Connections is a hub to educate and communicate opportunities for youth and young adults across Montgomery County regarding opportunities in career exploration with the ultimate goal of post-secondary success in the workforce. We bring together businesses, educational entities, students, parents, guardians and agencies to learn about high demand careers and ways to strategically navigate a pathway to success.There are resources available to help youth and young adults find successful and fulfilling careers. Understanding the Labor Market
The Montgomery County Workforce Development Board (MontcoWorks) has established a Local Plan, designed to align workforce development services with provisions set forth under The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The plan includes an in-depth overview and analysis of current economic conditions in Montgomery County as well as proposed implementation strategies to best serve the county’s businesses and job seekers. MontcoWorks NOW

MontcoWorks NOW serves at-risk youth and young adults who reside in Montgomery County, are between the ages of 14-24, and are presented with a significant barrier to completing or advancing in education or obtaining employment. MontcoWorks NOW is federally funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

PA CareerLink® Montgomery County

PA CareerLink® is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job-seekers find family sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need. Through this initiative, a user-friendly, premiere job-matching system has been created to help bridge the gap that currently exists between job-seekers and employers.

 

Central Montco Tech

Career and Technical Education:

Montgomery County is home to four career and technical education schools, serving students in 21 public school districts by region. If you are interested in having your middle school or high school child attend one of Montgomery County’s career and technical education centers contact your child’s guidance counselor to learn more about opportunities to enroll.
