Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: We are almost ready to send this, but as I’m re reading to ensure we have all our ducks in rows, a question surface regarding item 12 and 15…

The way that I’m interpreting this is if we do a PO for 150 and you have 160 come, we can’t bill you for 160? Is this a blanket bid rule policy that covers all vendors ie construction etc, but these line items wouldn’t really apply to us, but if we are signing it, we also have to cover ourselves. Make sense?

160 people come and consume food, then MCIU is billed for 160 regardless of what the PO is. Please advise on how we shall we document/proceed?

A: What that is saying is that the pricing will be guaranteed even if the number of participants increases. For example, if the price is $150 for a single room for 30 rooms and we would end up needing 35 rooms, the price will be $150/ea for the additional rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is the bid specific to Canon equipment or will comparable models from other manufacturers be considered?

A: It is Canon equipment only.

Q: Who do we address the bid bond to?

A: It can be addressed to:
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit
2 W. Lafayette Street, Norristown, PA 19401

Q: Could you provide your current cost per copy rates for both B/W copies and Color copies as well?

A: Anything over 62,000 B/W is a .0044 and anything over 2,000 for color is .0404.

Q: I received the addendum to add the 2/3 Hole Punch. FYI – The Hole Puncher Unit A1 is not compatible with the Booklet Finisher – AG1. The Hole Punch needed for this Booklet Finisher option would be the Puncher Unit BS1.

A: According to our spec sheet it indicates that a 2/3 hole punch A1 goes with a AG1 finisher.

Q: Do you require a CPC to be single click (11×17)? Standard is double click for anything over 8 ½ x 14.

A: We want a single click regardless of size.

Q: Do you require locked rates (CPC) per term of the lease? Standard is 10% increase every 12 months.

A: We would like to have it locked in.

Q: Is the Bid Bond required to be submitted along with the response on 5/29 or upon reward of the bid?

A: The bid bond is required to be submitted with the bid submission.
