Right to Know
OPEN RECORDS OFFICER – RIGHT TO KNOW REQUESTS
Beginning January 1, 2009, the Pennsylvania’s new Right-To-Know Law Act 3 of 2008 took effect. This new law established that all records kept by government entities are presumed to be open to the public, with some exceptions. The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) operating in full compliance with the law has established the following measures for requesting access to public records. These procedures are detailed in the Right to Know Policy and Administrative Regulations document which is accessible by clicking the button below.
A written request for access to a public record shall be submitted on the required form and addressed to the Open Records Officer, Ms. Edling and sent by mail, fax, or email.
