Student Wellness Committee
The Committee serves as an advisory committee regarding student health issues and is responsible for developing, periodically reviewing and recommending to the Board a Student Wellness Policy that complies with law. The current law regarding local school wellness policies is the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA).
Wellness Policy Assessment
In accordance with federal regulations, MCIU completes a triennial assessment of its Local School Wellness Policy to evaluate implementation, ensure compliance, and identify areas for improvement. This assessment reviews how well our programs support nutrition education, physical activity, and overall student wellness — and how they align with model policies and best practices.
